2 Day Class III-IV Upper Kern

Raft, Camp, Relax, Repeat!

Welcome to MRA Camp where the Mountain and the River come together to create a one of a kind experience. The Upper Kern provides some really exciting class III & IV white water! This year is no exception, the Upper Kern depend entirely on snowmelt and we are in for a great season of Big Water!

Day 1

Your trip begins at the Mountain and River Adventure headquarters just north of Kernville right on the River. We will give you all of the gear needed for your trip including a pfd and helmet. We also have wetsuits and booties available for rent. The Upper Kern is unique in that it’s flows depends entirely on Snowmelt from the Sierra’s. This year the water is flowing strong so count on multiple laps!

After you have had your morning dose of White Water we know you will have worked up an appetite, meet us at Buds Grove for a delicious deli-spread lunch. Afterwards get ready to fire up some more exciting class III & IV white water.

After a full day of exciting whitewater raft right up to camp where your campsite awaits. The best thing about staying at the MRA main campground is that you can take advantage of all our amenities! We have a size volleyball court, horseshoes, showers and restrooms.

Sleep in one of our complimentary tents or just throw one of our very comfortable sleeping pads next to the river for the “Under The Stars Experience”
